Brian McLean

Brian McLean is a British translator and journalist. He spent periods in Japan and Austria before settling in Hungary in 1977. He is the author of Escape Routes: Ten Excursions from Budapest. He has translated about fifty, mainly scholarly, books, including Gabriella Balla's Herend (an illustrated history of the porcelain factory), Political Economy of Socialism by János Kornai, and The Holy Crown of Hungary by Endre Tóth and Károly Szelényi.
